Extra Crispy Lemon Pepper Wing (Air Fried)

Extra Crispy Lemon Pepper Wing (Air Fried)

Ingredients

10 wings (Flats and/or Drums)

2 Tbsp Homemade Lemon Pepper Seasoning (Divided)

1 Tbsp Coarse Kosher Salt

1 Tbsp Baking Powder

1-2 cloves minced garlic

3 Tbsp Butter (melted)

Equipment:

Air Fryer

Mixing Bowl

Basting Brush

Knife

Directions:

  1. Prep. If your chicken wings are not already separated in flats and drumettes, use a sharp knife to separate the wings by cutting through the joints. Also, if you using fresh garlic, take this time to mince the garlic.

  2. Dry the wings. Get the wings very dry by patting down with paper towel. (This is an important step in order to get extra crispy wings)

  3. Toss. In mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the wings with baking powder, salt, and 1 Tablespoon of the Lemon Pepper Seasoning. (The baking powder is the key ingredient to help get crispy skin. Baking soda will not work)

  4. 1st Air Fry. Arrange wings in the air fryer and air fry for 20 mins at 375F, flipping halfway.

  5. Mix the Sauce. While the wings are cooking, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, and Lemon Pepper Seasoning.

  6. Baste. Carefully remove the hot wings from the air fryer and baste with the butter sauce.

  7. 2nd Air Fry. Put the wings back in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 400F, flipping halfway.

  8. Garnish. Carefully take out the wings and hit with a pinch of salt, chopped parsley, and a little bit more lemon pepper seasoning. Enjoy!
